The Junior and Intermediate Training Choirs (JTC and ITC) provide a program of sequentially developed skills which prepare choristers for admission into the Surrey Children's Choir.  The training choirs perform annually at the Family Christmas Concert and Year End concert (held in May of each year). They also often compete at the Fraser Valley Kiwanis Music Festival, always with great results. The training choirs may also perform at various events in the community.  The JTC, for singers aged approximately 6-9, rehearses Wednesdays from 3:45-4:45.  The ITC, for singers ages approximately 9-12 rehearse from 4:45-5:45. Both groups rehearse at Simon Cunningham Elementary School in Central Surrey.

The SCC, a treble-voice choir of boys and girls aged 11-18 is a consistent gold medal winner at local festivals, hailed by Gerald Van Wyck, Vancouver Community College professor as "one of the best children's choirs in Canada". These exuberant young voices are heard at the annual Christmas Concert, Spring Orchestra Concert and Year End Concert, as well as at civic and community events throughout the year.

In 2009, the choir travelled to the UK to perform in stunning acoustic spaces such as St. Paul's and Salisbury Cathedral in London and to compete at the International Choral Eisteddfod in Llangollen, Wales.  The Senior Choir performed extremely well, placing 4th in their category.

The choir performed at many cultural events during the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.  These included: singing the world premiere of Canadian musician Doug Johnson's (of Loverboy fame) original work "From My Home" at the Surrey Torch Lighting Ceremony, and performing concerts at Livecity Yaletown and Livecity Surrey.

The senior choir is also proud to have performed at the grand opening of the new Central City Library in Surrey in 2011, and at SFU Surrey's 10th Anniversary Gala.

The SCC rehearses Wednesday evenings at Simon Cunningham Elementary School, from 6:00-8:00pm.

Surrey Community Chorus
Spring Orchestra Concert, 2004

The auditioned Surrey Community Chorus is an enthusiastic and disciplined ensemble of talented male and female adult singers under the dynamic leadership of conductor Stephen Horning.  Initially a group of Surrey Children's Choir parents who felt that they were missing out on all the fun, the ensemble is dedicated to the performance of superb choral works from a broad range of styles. The Chorus appears each season with the SCC in the popular family Christmas Concert, and at a Spring Concert that often features a famous, major choral work.

The adult chorus rehearses Tuesday nights from 7:30-9:30 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church.
